Notifications
Notifications lists what you have been told, newest first. The bell in the top bar carries the unread count and Mark all read clears it.
The kinds
| Kind | Raised when |

| Mentions | Somebody names you in a thread. |
| Task assignments | A task is put in your name. |
| Task due dates | Once, on the morning a task of yours comes due. |
Analysis alerts are configured per matter, not here — see Developments and alerts.
Notices reach you in the app either way. The email settings on Your account decide which of them also reach your inbox, at that firm.
Each firm you belong to has its own setting.
Withheld notices
On a matter you can no longer open. A notice raised before your access changed stays in your list, with its subject removed. The notice is not deleted — that would rewrite history — and its contents are not shown.
What email never carries
Alert email carries the case number and the kind of development, never the facts. Nothing substantive about a matter is sent to an inbox.
