Your account

The only page in the product where you change your own details.

Profile

Full legal name — prints on signature blocks and productions, and names you in every audit line.

Job title — shown to colleagues. Carries no authority of its own.

State bar number and issued by.

The bar number is the important field. With it on file you may approve AI output and be made lead on a matter. Clearing it takes both away on your next request.

Approval authority is derived from the licence you record here, not granted by a checkbox.

Work email — your sign-in address. Changing it has to be confirmed from the mailbox that receives it, which is not wired up yet; ask an administrator.

Password

Changing your password signs you out of every other device immediately. Minimum eight characters.

Where you are signed in

Every session, with the device and when it started.

  • Revoke ends one.
  • Sign out everywhere else ends all but this one.

Revoking takes effect on the next request from that device, not at its next sign-in. A session you do not recognise should be revoked.

Two-factor authentication

Set it up, generate new backup codes, or turn it off — unless your firm requires it, in which case it cannot be turned off here.

The flow: scan the code with any TOTP app, save the backup codes somewhere that is not the phone you just enrolled, then confirm with a code from the app. Your current password is asked for first, so that somebody at your unlocked screen cannot attach their own authenticator to your account.

  • A code is not asked for on a trusted device for thirty days.
  • Backup codes work once each and are never shown again.
  • Generating a new set invalidates the old one immediately.

See Signing in for the full detail.

Your role

Shown, and not editable. A role is granted by an administrator. Being able to raise your own would make every other permission in the product decorative.

Your cases

Three counts, and the distinction between them is the point:

Matters you can open — assigned to you and readable.

Matters you lead — the only person who may release anything on these.

Matters you administer — you know these exist and can manage the roster; you cannot read the file.

Ethical walls that apply to you are not listed here. A walled matter shows no trace anywhere, and a line saying you are walled off one would be the disclosure the wall exists to prevent.

Email preferences

Which in-app notices also reach your inbox, at this firm: mentions, task assignments, task due dates. Each firm you belong to has its own setting.

Appearance

System, light or dark.
